This complete series collection was released last year, 2013, on DVD format. It is consider the updated version of Friends: The Complete Series (DVD) released back in 2006.

Friends: The Complete Series (Blu-ray) – 2012
This collection includes all the Friends episodes in the Blu-ray format. While Friends was not shot on HD the image quality does not improve dramatically, the sound does a little bit. But to be honest, Friends was never though of being in HD, it was made for SD. And the truth is the show is as funny on SD as it would be on HD so if you want a tiny better image quality you might consider this version of Friends: The Complete Series.
It comes over 17 hours of special features from the original DVD releases and over 3 hours of all-new special features.
Friends: The Complete Series (DVD) – 2006
This Friends Complete Series edition is also known as the “red box”. It was released back in 2006 and features all the Friends episodes in a very special presentation.
This edition includes a 60-page commemorative book, commentaries, behind the scenes, gag reels, video guest books, trivia quizzes, and more.

If you don’t want to buy the Friends Complete Series and only want to pick up your favorite seasons you can also purchase the individual seasons on DVD and Blu-ray. The choice is yours!
I have the individual seasons that started coming out many years ago (when TV shows on DVD and home release was starting to get popular). The old boxes that are not plastic but are made of carton. I like them very much, but I never got the big black box they released for fans who already had all the seasons 🙁 If you know how I can get one let me know, PLEASE!
